Aghin Village Project- Shirak Province, 2016-2017

Part 1, School Doors and Windows Replacement

Shirak is known to be the coldest in Armenia. The average temperature is 6℃, and in winter can reach -30℃. Aghin village’s school was built in 1989, and never since renovated.

IWAY sponsored the replacement of all the school’s doors and windows to ensure that the children have a warm and comfortable environment for learning.

Aghin is located on the edge of Akhuryan Reservoir and just in front of antient Armenian capital Ani, in 2,5 km from the Turkish border.
